Jack Brooks

Founder of Ubiquitous Music, Jack Brooks graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Composition in 1975.
He has taught programs in Poway, Vista, Grossmont, Escondido, and headed the Fairbanks Country Day School Music Department for seven years, where he developed the curriculum that Ubiquitous Music operates on. A genuine innovator in music education, Jack’s methods yield quick results while keeping music FUN!
Gary Stewart

Gary Stewart (Also called Mr. Wonderful and the Zen of Shred) is a Canadian-born rocker who was classically trained on the piano from the ages of 4 to 11 and graduated from the Guitar Institute of Technology at age 19.
He has over 18 years of teaching experience, In his band Gudamunkas he toured the US, playing with The B52’s and He has been endorsed by Fender and Carvin. Gary is well-versed in nearly all styles of music, and is a very motivating, inspirational teacher. Gary teaches a large number of Teen Rock Bands. Learn to rock with a living legend!
Sam Roberson
Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Voice, Keyboard
Super Powers: Powerful vocals, Shredding Guitar, Sweeping Arrangements, and the ability to teach you to pull it all together!
Sam Roberson has been playing guitar and bass and singing for 14 years. He has been performing in the perennial San Diego band Off Track for the last 10 years, and has also taught choir, marching band, drumline, and jazz band at San Pasqual High School.
Studying music theory and voice at Palomar College, he has a rare talent for teaching his students not only how to play their instrument of choice, but how to really put on a show! Sam currently teaches several Teen Rock Bands, and leads the Ubiquitous Guitar Orchestra. Come and study with this young rising talent.
Gino Meregillano
Instruments: Guitar, Bass
Super Powers: Specializes in Rockabilly, Blues, and Country. Can sit in with virtually any kind of band.
Gino Meregillano has been playing guitar for over 20 years, and currently performs with The Hayriders, Mo’ Wasabi, and the legendary psychobilly band The Guana Batz. Gino teaches intermediate to advanced private students in a variety of styles, as well as the Adult Guitar class and Adult Blues Band. Gino can teach you to jump, jive, and wail!
Warren LaPlante

Super Powers: Blazing fast classical guitarist.
Warren LaPlante has been playing for over 25 years, studied at the Guitar Institute of Technology, and has distilled classical, metal, jazz, finger style, and eclectic tunings into a truly impressive style as unique as it is wide-ranging. Warren performs several nights a week in his acoustic duo, Notas Antiguas.
Todd Morr

Todd Morr has been teaching guitar for 15 years and playing over a quarter century! He teaches both lead and rhythm in rock, metal, blues, and currently plays guitar in the band “Mark of the Blues”. His philosophy on teaching is to give his students a solid base of musical knowledge through the songs that they want to learn.
Andrew Saliba

Super Powers: Very in-touch with modern music, and a high general level of awesomeness.
Andrew is the first graduate of the Ubiquitous Music School of Rock. He has been playing guitar for three years and is well beyond that in his playing talent. He currently teaches the teen guitar program at the Mathis Center, an afterschool rock group called “Eyeore’s Revenge”, and is looking for beginning to intermediate private students. If you want to learn to rock from someone who doesn’t yet suffer from “Old Man’s Disease”, Andrew is your ticket to awesomeness.
Dave Royal
Instruments: Guitar, Drums
Super Powers: Great kids teacher, huge classic rock and blues repertoire.
Dave Royal has taught guitar and drums in Escondido for over 23 years, and has helped hundreds of students down the road to guitar mastery. Dave teaches private students on drums and guitar, as well as group classes for kids, and several adult rock ensembles. Dave teaches the Kid Guitar program and numerous Adult Rock groups. Learn to have jam with the nicest guy in town.
Paul Kimbarow

Super Powers: Has played with EVERYONE!! He can teach you to READ drums in almost any style.
Originally from the Bronx, Paul Kimbarow is one of the most sought-after musicians in San Diego. He’s been recording and performing for over 30 years and is dedicated to providing a solid foundation for drummers to grow from. He has played for everyone from The Ventures, to Chuck Berry, to Sha Na Na, and has been on “The Tonight Show”, “The Today Show”, and “Rock Concert.”
Toby Ahrens

Super Powers: Widely diverse musical knowledge. Deep grooves in Cuban and South American music.
Toby Ahrens started playing early on with piano and found that drums were a better release. He learned traditional grip through school and marching snare, and soon moved to drum set, and 30 years later he’s still teaching the drumming that he loves. Deep into rock, pop, jazz, and world music, Toby can teach you much more than just how to smack a drum set. His knowledge of percussion of most all American styles and Caribbean and Latin American and Brazilian drumming will get you moving to the rhythm of life.

Elizabeth Meeker

Super Powers: Has a Masters Degree from Yale University in trumpet performance.
Elizabeth Meeker has taught piano, music theory, and ear training at schools including: Yale University, Center for the Arts High School in New Haven, CT, and Southwestern College in Chula Vista. She has experience teaching group piano, music theory, ear training, and music history. She is a very enthusiastic teacher, committed to the propagation of musical knowledge.
Nathan Mills
Instruments: Trumpet, Brass
Super Powers: Toured the US as lead trumpet for the US Marine Band
Nathan is a professional player, who brings his 30+ years of performing experience into his approach to teaching. After his tour of duty in the Marine Band, Nathan continued his “in the trenches” education in New Orleans and New York, before returning to California. Also an accomplished writer and arranger, Nathan’s music has been heard on television and radio. His teaching approach combines the discipline of classical material with his experiences in popular styles, and his love of Jazz and improvised music.
